The girls attended the Daddy-Daughter dance with Jeremy in February. They had a great time eating pizza, dancing, and making ice cream sundaes. The dads especially enjoyed all the great preteen music! And those corsages mom made lasted all of about 2 minutes before exclamations of "this feels weird" and "do I have to wear this?" rendered them all but useless :)

Kaelyn and I completed our first session of tae kwon do by earning our yellow-tip belt. We had to learn a "form" or series of moves, demonstrate our basic blocks, punches, and kicks, free-fight an opponent, and attempt to break a board by kicking it - which we both accomplished after a few tries. We signed up for another round in the hopes of earning our yellow belt. Turns out Kaelyn is quite a little fighter...a natural, according to the teachers. Perhaps she has tournament fighting in her future....who would have thought?!
