Who Knew We Could Be So Handy?

As many of you know, Jeremy and I have been trying to get a remodeling loan for several months to finish the upstairs of our house. Due to the current economic situation our home appraisals have been dropping, making it not possible to get the loan we wanted. So.....we decided to do a little updating ourselves, just fix up the spaces we have, until we can do what we'd like to in the future.
We spent 2 weeks, while Jeremy was on vacation, updating our bathrooms upstairs, our bedroom, and our sunroom. We both really enjoyed the experience and we learned a lot. It was great to see the spaces transform and to put a little sweat and elbow grease into making our house our "home". Check out the Before and After pictures below!
Master Bath - "Before" (but after we ripped everything out)
removed: wallpaper, carpet!, vanity, toilet, baseboard, lighting
replaced: paint, vinyl tile, vanity, toilet, baseboard, lighting
After:

Girls' Bath Before
removed: wallpaper, vanity, lighting
replaced: paint, vanity, lighting
After:

Master Bedroom Before
removed: carpet, lighting
replaced: paint, lighting, and redecorated
After:
I don't have a picture of the sunroom, but a huge thanks to my mom who helped me paint the walls and ceiling - a big job but so worth it, it really warmed up the space. Thanks, also, to my mom for giving us that great rug in our bedroom. And thanks to my grandfather who helped us with lots of finishing touches all around the house. And thanks to Jeremy's dad for being our consultant when we got "stuck". We couldn't have done it without all that great help!
